MediCinema's mission is to improve the wellbeing and quality of life of NHS patients, their families and carers through the power of the shared cinema experience and the magic of film. We achieve this by building and running cinemas in hospitals equipped with space for beds, wheelchairs and medical equipment, and providing free films and activities at bedsides for patients of all ages. Our services help to improve emotional, mental and physical health, reducing feelings of isolation, anxiety and stress, and increasing patient resilience. During COVID-19 we have at times been the only cinemas in the country operating and we are really proud that we’ve been able to offer hospital patients the opportunity to have time away from the isolation of the wards - especially through this period where no or few visitors have been allowed.
